Kiva is an international nonprofit whose mission is to connect people willing to lend small amounts of money to people around the world, often struggling with abject poverty, who need assistance to achive their vision to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.

Lending as little as $25 through Kiva allows anyone to help another person start or grow a business, go to school, access clean energy, or realize their potential.  For some of those people, it’s a matter of survival . . . for others it’s the fuel for a life-long ambition.

Lending to people in need with thousands of others is a powerful and sustainable way to create economic and social good.  Lending through Kiva allows us to create partnerships of mutual dignity and make it easy to touch more lives with the same dollars over and over.

Fund a loan, get repaid, fund another loan . . . wash, rinse, repeat.

Using Kiva this way has allowed us to leverage just over $100 into over $850 of loans to help farmers with their crops and livestock, small business owners have improved and grown their businesses, families have added sanitary bathroom facilities to their homes, others in war-torn areas have rebuilt their homes, and that's just what we've helped do up until now . . . tomorrow will see more loans, more help, more people building better lives.

Kiva loans grow businesses, create opportunity for the borrowers, and create opportunities for others around them as well.  The ripple effect can shape the future for a family and an entire community.
